INSULATION, CARPET, CLADDING & FLOORING

INSULATION & SOUND DEADENING
Prior to any insulation we sound deaden the van with high grade butyl construction and hex embossed aluminium, which stop rattles, vibration &
noise - lower vehicle road, exhaust, engine & transmission noise
After the sound deadening we add the insulation each role of insulation that we use is made from 85 plastic bottles and is itch free breathable and has a green star rating for its insulation properties, guaranteed to keep you toastie in those winter nights off grid in your van.
The final stage before adding your plyliner is to add a foil insulation sheet which adds further insulation and creates a vapour barrier to prevent moisture
CARPETING
We can carpet almost anything in our Easyliner 4 way stretch carpet which has a smooth velour texture and comes in 8 different shades, black, stone, powder blue, wheat, anthracite, graphite, smoke & silver. We only use 4 way stretch Easlyliner carpet as it has a Flame Retardancy testing FMVSS302 (watch out for cheaper alternatives)
CLADDING
Cladding is a great way to board out your van, you can mix it up with the walls carpeted and the ceiling cladded or you can clad all out. We tend to think a mix works well.
We use kiln dried tongue and groove soft wood cladding for all our campers and we also ensure that it is FSC / PEFC certified so you know that the timber we use is sourced from in an environmentally responsible supplier.
Staines and or waxes are picked to match with your cabinetry.
FLOORING
Before laying a floor in your van we’ll ensure as a minimum you have a 12mm ply base and some basic insulation sheet. We can also add a timber frame with Kingspan inserts for additional insulation if your travelling in the winter.
We recommend fitting Altro safety flooring in your van or an equivalent grade as they are slip and stain resistant and are recommended for use in hard working areas with heavy footfall so there perfect for daily use and can be easily cleaned and maintained.
